I Saw What I Saw

A friend recently sent me this song by Sara Groves called I Saw What I Saw.
I cried.
And cried.

So often in this life I am living
I'm just trying to survive.
Make the rent.
Change the diapers.
Clean the house.

And yet,
there is a huge part of my life
that was spent among the world's most vulnerable.
Not only that,
but my life was changed because it was spent in such a way.

And in the mix-up of this daily living
that part of life
gets shoved down.

This song hauled it to the surface.
And made me remember
that I saw what I saw.
I loved who I loved.

And none of it can be erased.
Or lost.
Or changed.
